Ambition can be a natural function of your interests and capabilities. This requires honest awareness of your true [[Self]] and what you're truly interested in and what you're truly capable of given the resources, knowledge, and skills you have. (Sometimes delusional parts ignore the reality of your interests and capabilities for the sake of maintaining the illusion of being extraordinary.) More often, however, ambition derives from [[Parts]] of us that want to prove their worth for the sake of protecting [[Exiles]] that feel unworthy. But accomplishing ambitious goals won't satisfy these parts or make them feel ultimately worthy: [[No object, relationship, accomplishment, or state of mind can give you what you really seek]]. The parts using ambition to protect us, and the exiles they're protecting, need healing if they're to feel whole. And if these parts are healed, you'll unlock your potential to be ambitious about solving the problems you're most interested in: [[Healing and awakening unlock our potential to seek truth, create knowledge, and solve problems]]. When we heal our ambitious parts, we'll often find that what the problems these parts wanted us to solve are not problems we're truly interested in or best suited to addressing anyway: [[Healing and awakening will change your interests, values, wants, and knowledge]].
