When we feel uncertain about a decision it's often because [[Parts]] of us are [polarized](Polarization). These internal conflicts are often resolved by one of these parts momentarily gaining control and getting its way. Uncertainty about a decision can also come from parts of us that fear the unknown and want a concrete answer about what will happen in the future. (See: [[Burdened parts are afraid of the unknown]]). But what does decision making look and feel like when we're [[Self-led]]? Options can still be considered, but you won't be identified with any particular side. You'll also be open to new and creative possibilities. (Related: [[Healing and awakening unlock our potential to seek truth, create knowledge, and solve problems]]). You won't have perfect answers, because [[The future is unpredictable]]. But you'll be open to the reality that you don't know what will happen. But you can adjust as needed to whatever does come. Self-led decision making feels more like floating down a river and allowing the current to take you downstream. Maybe you swim a bit to the left or right every now and then to avoid bumping into a rock, but this process feels much more natural and effortless than when polarized parts are taking the lead. However, be aware of Self-like parts ([[Parts can display qualities of Self]]) who use spiritual insights to justify their position about a decision.
