Especially the more radical [nondual](Nonduality) teachings that take harder stances against spiritual practices, healing practices, physical materialism and reality, non-empirical epistemology, and giving credibility and attention to the mind and its [[Parts]]. (While I owe much to my own awakening to him, [[Rupert Spira]]'s teachings can take these stances, or at least seem to, at times.) Parts that don't want to make efforts and want to just believe you're already awake and free like radical nondual teachings. These kinds of parts can also use the idea that you're already awake and free to avoid confronting conditioning, trauma, and problematic behavior. Parts that want to avoid trauma and uncomfortable truths about your parts and your inner system may grasp onto the radical nondual idea that you don't need to deliberately heal. And while [[Nondual practices can be healing, but it's slow, unfocused, and indirect]]. Parts that want answers and to be philosophically in-the-know and therefore superior or more worthy or more enlightened than others may grasp onto the radical nondual ideas that there is no physical reality and that what we know can only derived from experience. These kind of parts may play nondual language games and refuse to acknowledge a personal self, past, future, etc. These kinds of parts may also enjoy playing nondual philosophical mind games, and so follow teachers who offer this, rather than sincerely investigating the nature of experience experientially instead of conceptually. While it could be that [[Awareness]] is the foundation of reality, [[Current nondual explanations of the nature of reality are bad]]. And [[Knowledge isn't derived from experience]]. Also [[Awakening is experientially understanding the true nature of experience]], [[Conceptually understanding the nature of reality isn't a requirement for awakening]], and [[Parts don't need better explanations of spiritual truths. They need their fears to be addressed]]. Parts that want to avoid confronting mental conditioning (because it can be painful and uncomfortable: [[Healing and awakening is hard]]) may grasp onto the idea that the mind and its parts can be ignored.
