[[Self]] (or at least [[Self-essence]]) is the ultimate nature of experience. It's the non-objective context in which objective contents of [[Awareness]] arise. That which is non-objective and non-conceptual cannot be described with objective and conceptual words. But it can be known experientially: [[Self is knowing]].
This doesn't mean that it's wrong to put words to [[Self]]. Nor do I think it's wrong to use a word like "Self" when we're ultimately describing something that's non-personal and non-identifiable. So long as the words are useful, use them: [[Maps are imperfect but useful]]. Just know that they're ultimately empty and untrue: [[Concepts aren't ultimately true]] and [[Attachment to concepts disconnects us from our true experience]].
