I think the "meaning crisis" is really a seeking crisis--[[Parts]] of us are seeking meaning to fill a perceived lack of love, connection, beauty, freedom, peace, joy, answers, etc. And once a source of meaning has been decided upon by our parts, they can become dogmatically attached to the idea that they've found the ultimate solution to their problems. If these parts believe hard enough that they're getting what they need from this source of meaning, they can at least partially avoid the unresolved sense of lack. (The [[Burdens]] and [[Exiles]] are still there, they're just somewhat covered over.) There is no ultimate meaning. And ultimately, [[Self]] doesn't need meaning. [[Self is whole]] already without it. Meaning is an explanation created by people. And [[People (and the explanations they make) are fallible]], so their can't be an absolute answer to what's meaningful. I think meaning is more person dependent, like interests. (While meaning is individuated, it's certainly influenced by culture.) You won't know what's truly meaningful to you without healing and awakening. (Related: [[Healing and awakening will change your interests, values, wants, and knowledge]].) What's truly meaningful to you is sourced from your true [[Self]]. And burdened parts will lead you astray when it comes to meaning, because what they want will be derived from seeking and resisting.
