While we should keep in mind that there is valuable implicit knowledge built into spiritual traditions, our knowledge isn't justified by established traditions or teachers: [[Knowledge isn't justified]]. [[Knowledge consists of good explanations]], and many of the explanations attached to spirituality are bad. We should criticize them and conjecture better ones: [[Knowledge grows through conjectures and criticism]]. My guess is that our failure to do so will limit the audience of people who will be open to [[Spirituality]] and [[Awakening]]. Those with at least some knowledge of what good epistemology is may come into contact with some of the obviously bad spiritual ideas and therefore discard spirituality entirely.
