- [[True spiritual practice is not about manipulating experience]]. ([[Spiritual practices can be used as a refined means of seeking pleasure and avoiding pain]]). [[Parts]] want to manipulate experience. [[Self has no agenda]]. - [[Awakening is experientially understanding the true nature of experience]] as it is. - We're already free and [[You are what you seek]]. It's just a matter of seeing that clearly for ourselves. - [[The intention and attitude of spiritual practice matters more than technique]]. - [[True meditation]], [[Self-Inquiry]], and [[IFS]] are my favored approaches to spiritual practice. Although it could be argued that IFS goes beyond simple investigation, but the spirit of sincere curiosity to know the truth is still there. - Investigation can also lead to the relaxation of the efforts made by [[Parts]] to maintain their identities and roles: [[Awakening is relaxing effort, not exerting it]]. - [[Surrender is crucial for awakening]]. And to surrender, I think one must be sincere.
