These burdened parts may seek to fill unmet needs by taking advantage of the power they hold over their students. And adoring students seeking a savior can feed the spiritual ego parts of a teacher. These spiritual ego parts can lead the teacher to believing that they are enlightened and can do no wrong. The image of a perfect enlightened teacher can lead students to more readily accepting abuses in power. Another problem is that many spiritual teachers seem to disregard healing.
