Many of us have [[Parts]] that attempt to figure out our past, what mistakes we made, why our parts think and feel and behave as they do, what we need to do to heal, and so on. This isn't necessarily problematic, however, conceptually figuring yourself out isn't necessary for healing. In fact, parts don't really like being analyzed as if they're problems to solve: [[Parts aren't problems to solve]] and [[Don't analyze parts]]. Our conclusions about our parts won't always be accurate anyway. What parts reveal when you let them speak for themselves is often surprising. So [[Let parts speak for themselves]]. However, [[Burdened parts are afraid of the unknown]], so honor any parts that are afraid of what might be revealed when you connect with parts of yourself. Understand their concerns and address them.
